St. Pete's Largest Pajama Party!


Thursday, July 17, 2025, will be the 52nd annual Sunrise Sale, starting at 6:43 a.m.!


The annual Sunrise Sale is a don't-miss event. It's a blockbuster summer sale that's worth getting up before dawn for! Shoppers are encouraged to wear their pajamas and those who do are often treated to extra discounts or small gifts. The event sees downtown filled at dawn with yellow flags, bright balloons and eager shoppers! Several restaurants offer incredible breakfast specials to hungry shoppers. The event is open to the public, and maps are available to guide people to participating businesses. Anxious shoppers can follow the Sunrise Sale announcements on Facebook at www.facebook.com/DBAStPete. ​Special offers are highlighted leading up to the event.

One of St. Pete's Longest-Running Shopping Traditions Returns!

Join us for the 53rd Annual Sunrise Sale on Thursday, July 16, 2026, and help celebrate one of downtown St. Petersburg's most beloved traditions!

Beginning at 6:43 a.m., the official time of sunrise, 47 locally owned businesses throughout downtown St. Petersburg will open their doors with special promotions, exclusive offers, and unique shopping experiences. Created in 1973 by the St. Pete Downtown Business Association (DBA), the Sunrise Sale was designed to support local businesses during the slower summer months—a mission that remains just as important more than 50 years later.

Whether you're an early bird looking for the best doorbuster deals or prefer to shop later in the day, there's something for everyone. While many businesses will offer specials throughout the day, some of the biggest savings and limited-time offers are available during the early morning hours. Each participating business sets its own hours and promotions, so be sure to check with individual stores for details.

No PJs? No Problem!

Known as St. Pete's largest pajama party, the Sunrise Sale has become a fun tradition for many shoppers—but wearing pajamas is completely optional! Come in your favorite PJs, your workout clothes, your work attire, or simply as you are. What matters most is showing up to support the locally owned businesses that help make St. Petersburg such a vibrant and unique community.

Explore Downtown

This year's Sunrise Sale includes:

19 businesses along Beach Drive and the surrounding waterfront
22 businesses on and just off Central Avenue
6 businesses along the 4th Street corridor

Look for the Sunrise Sale's signature yellow flags and colorful balloons outside participating businesses to find all the special offers.
